The Needs
Jail and Sheriff's Office
Better Programming
The biggest concerns relating to one-on-one programming in the existing facility is the safety and security of everyone involved and lack of dedicated space.

-
Attorney, probation agent, and outside counselor visits are contact visits.
-
The mental health counselor has no designated place to meet with inmates and often has to meet in booking due to visitation area being busy with attorneys or court.
-
The programming room is used for court, court order evaluations, probation pre-sentence investigations, etc. On-site programming may be cancelled or delayed due to the other scheduling needs.
-
There is no designated area for inmates classified max/hi-max to utilize recreation hours. Recreation hours are often completed in booking or visitation. Again, recreation hours are delayed due to bookings, visits, or court.
-
Medical exam room is adjacent to Administrative Office Area and Master Control.
-
Limited observation when inmates are utilizing visitation area for recreation hours.
